THE CARILLONNEUR
Oisín Dilger
Carillonneur, Centralia Carillon
Oisín Dilger is an Irish carillonneur, composer, organist, and multi-instrumentalist from Galway, Ireland. He began studying classical and jazz piano as a child and later added clarinet and composition to his skills. He is a member of the Irish Composers' Collective and has worked as a resident pianist.
Dilger earned his BA in Music from University College Cork (UCC) and completed advanced postgraduate studies at the Royal Carillon School (Koninglijke Beiaardschool Jef Denyn) in Mechelen, Belgium. In 2026 he graduated with the highest distinction and had earlier received the Staf Gebruers Prize which supported his training in Mechelen.
Dilger is known for expressive recitals that combine Baroque repertoire with jazz influences and his own contemporary arrangements and compositions. He has performed across Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany (including a May 2026 recital in Erfurt), and he continues to compose chamber and carillon works.
